In Tyrol on a simple, white plastered house wall, stands a wall relief made of aluminum with a white satin finish. The relief measures 309 x 478 x 10 cm and weighs 700 kg. The asymmetrical, imposing shape blends in effortlessly with the façade of the converted yet traditional house.

The wall relief, specially designed for this location and based on the negative space of an existing portal by Madeleine Boschan, has an absorbent white effect that captures the changing light of the day and seasons. From the radiant sunlight of midday to pink sunrises and sunsets to cloudy days and snowfalls, the surface of the relief reflects the diversity of nature.

The private client wanted the wall relief to have a subtle yet powerful presence, which on closer inspection reveals an unexpected massiveness. The subtlety of this work preserves harmony with the neighborhood, as the relief is visible to the public from the street. Yet it always remains visible from the client's private roof terrace. The wall relief invites you to experience this newly created place in its impressive transformation in any weather and at any time of day.
